Aquagold microchannel technology combines microneedling to stimulate new collagen with simultaneous delivery of a customized age defying treatment that can include volumizing filler agents and neuromodulator (Micro-Botox, Micro-Newtox). It particularly re-texturizes and hydrates tissue-paper thin skin. Pores and fine lines are minimized as well.

How does Aquagold work?

Microneedling is well known to stimulate new collagen production, similar to fractional lasers. Controlled micro-punctures stimulate new elastic and collagen which ultimately generates firmer skin with better texture. Blood supply to treated areas is improved by microneedling as well. Aquagold combines this neocollagenesis with direct to skin delivery of a personalized solution that may consist of filler volumizing agents (such as Juvederm), growth factors, antioxidants, neuromodulator (Botox or Newtox), platelet rich plasma etc. This delivery primarily takes place via spiral channels in 20 microneedles in a way that conventional needles are unable to accomplish (although in areas such as the hands and face a combination of Aquagold and skilled deeper tissue filler volumization with conventional cannulae and needles gives optimal results).

These microneedles are finer than hair and generate minimal discomfort. You may experience minimal redness for 1 or 2 days. It is appropriate for all skin types and pigmentation.

The Aquagold glass vial is topped by 20 needles (gold plated surgical stainless steel), each thinner than human hair. Their 600 micrometer length reaches the upper dermis, where the custom mixture is introduced via spiral channels in the needles as well as enhanced absorption via the temporarily created vertical tracts in microneedled skin (which close within an hour). Aquagold Fine Touch is superior to roller microneedling since needles are introduced straight into skin rather than at a roller angle which tears the skin and is associated with more discomfort.

Where should I treat?

The best areas to treat are the entire face, neck, hands and upper chest.

How many sessions are required?

We recommend a series of 5 microneedling sessions and maintenance sessions thereafter.

Diligent sunscreening year round is essential. Further benefit is derived from medical grade skin care products. These are first line basic recommendations for maintaining a youthful appearance and reduce premature skin aging.

When more effort is needed to achieve rejuvenation deeper filler in greater volume in combination with higher dose neuromodulator, IPL photorejuvenation, radiofrequency-RF (Morpheus8 microneedling RF, AccuTite) and Belkyra for dissolving double chin fat can be considered.
